Hoorah! We are back at school! The children arrived, some nervous, some tired and many wishing they had more time at home! However, the new playground had everyone buzzing with excitement. Although there are no trees left, there is a brilliant trim trail, which will help to keep everyone fit and healthy, the huge football pitch is GREAT, the false grass looks lovely and the wooden outdoor class room will be superb for quiet times. Parents, staff and pupils were very impressed by it! 
Mrs Bell and Miss Akhtar greeted the new Year 6. They were introduced to Mrs Shankly, our new Year 6 booster teaching assistant. Soon everyone got used to some of the routines. Mrs Fearn did the assembly when she spoke about play
ground rules. After a morning activity and some reading about Alexander Graham Bell, we had lunch.
The afternoon was in the ICT room. Then Mrs Bell and Mrs Akhtar took the children for a treat - a go on the trim trail. It was BRILLIANT!

I like the new playground that Mrs Fearn arranged for us after i wrote this mrs bell is going to take us out for a small treat for 10 minutes i realy enjoyed my first dat at year 6

Hi Mrs Bell your new year 6 class has raided our blog i had a really fun day at abbotbeyne it was really good but i have no one from victoria in my set but i have made some new freinds called gabriell and lidia there really good i really like my form tutor he is kind but the deputy assistant who is also my english and french teacher is so MEAN i dont like her well no one does because she says she has a reputatation at being STRICT and she shouts a lot mrs im really missing you and MIss akhtar Mrs annett i hope you enjoy your new class

Hi, Zaki, I was disappointed that you left us - you were still on our register this morning! However, I do wish you luck and hope you soon settle down in your new school.
The playground is lovely and the class enjoyed playing on it today. I expect you have got some lovely surroundings over there. I went there for an open-air music concert and it was brilliant. Good luck and keep in touch.

Anum, please remember those life skills - change takes time to get used to. High school education is SO different to primary, you WILL find it difficult. What you are feeling is normal, but you must continue to talk to your new friends, also your old ones like me! Don't worry about the strict teachers - they have to be strict because of some of the difficult children in schools. If they were not strict, none of you will learn.
Give it time, and you will adjust, just like you did at Coven.
