LAST DAY IN YEAR 6!

Today was the final day. and the Leavers Assembly at 9.15. Mrs Bell was quite nervous because the practise on Thursday afternoon had not been very good! However, the assembly went really well with many children and staff in tears by the end! Mrs Bell has her sunglasses to hide the evidence (not that it worked) and Miss Akhtar left the hall for a few minutes. The Roatary Club came and presented Fahad and Klaudia with special gifts - Fahad for being a resilient pupil who despite all his difficulties has achieved well and Klaudia who came to our school in Y3 with no English but got THREE level 5s!
We had a rounders match at 11 and then a party in the afternoon. Children helped to clear the classroom and wondered where the whole year had gone. Soon it was time to say 'Goodybye' and a few more tears (and that was just the staff!). Many parents came to say thank you to Mrs Bell and Miss Akhtar.
The Year 6 staff have really enjoyed teaching this class and will miss them BUT know that they have plenty of life skills to help them in their next steps. THANK YOU 6 B, you are a brilliant class. Good luck in Y7; have a great holiday first!

Final Days in Year 6

We are beginning to COUNT DOWN! Not much time left, but there is the Open Afternoon to do on Wednesday, Leavers Assembly to practise and of course the party to plan! The talent show was wonderful today. Mrs Bell could not believe the confidence of the children - people singing on their own, dancing, music and even jokes! What a brilliant school we are!
