Hello, this is, hopefully the start of an exciting and interactive Blog for my current class of Year 6. I have decided to begin this diary just before we take our SATs on Monday 11th May 2009. I am feeling positive as everyone has worked hard and they are thoroughly prepared for the BIG week! Miss Akhtar will buy some bread and butter for the morning toast and I have chocolate in my car boot (there is enough for the Y6 staff, if they become stressed!).
The first tests are in Science. By the time, the class get to read this Blog, the two tests will be over and we will be in the ICT suite for the last lesson on Monday. That means the next test is writing. Now, remember everyone, this is one of our strong areas - we are EXCELLENT at complex sentences and YOU HAVE have a wide range of connectives to use. Clever use of punctuation is brilliant ( make sure your plan includes what you might use) and just before the time is up, polish off by reading back your writing and adding in additional adjectives, adverbs and checking punctuation. Make the reader WANT MORE!
Good luck! Don't forget, we are using Tiger Woods' quote, " Nerves show you care!" Go for it - show the huge progress you have made this year.
