Hi, Everyone, there is good news - the decorating is done! AND Ramadan has started - Miss Akhtar gave me this good news when I spoke to her recently. Good luck to all those who are fasting.
We are lucky in Staffordshire as we still have a whole week left of our holidays. Most counties are due to go back sometime this week, even if it's only the staff! However, many teachers at Victoria will be planning for their new classes this week and making sure they are ready for the first day children are back.
Children, you also must think about preparing for YOUR first day - pencil cases, bags, uniform, this list is endless. Usually helpful to have a list and tick things off as you get them. Remember, you may already have many things e.g last years pencil case, or your older brother/sister's uniforms. It's good to recycle as it means you have more money for other things. Good luck with your preparation.

Well done, Anum, I knew I could rely on you to be organised and prepared. Keep it up. When does your school week start? My son is not back until Wednesday!
I will start my work tomorrow, once my friend has been for coffee. I may call at school as I need to get my sons shopping on Wednesday. Have a good week, Anum.

I am getting through my list of jobs for next week. It's at this stage, people who work in schools ask themselves, "Where did the holidays go?"

Anum good luck for tomorrow. You are feeling a little nervous about all those new things AND it's so normal to feel like that. Even teachers worry the day before they meet their new classes! No, I am afraid, I don't think I will be showing the 'soft' side of me too soon - it's not a good strategy. However, I am having to be soft at home as my eldest son is going to University soon and he is nervous. Hopefully, like you he will soon settle down.
